How to encrypt the files & folders? Start..Click Encrypt & Decrypt in main interface, and then select Encrypt the files & folders.
Step1..select the file & folder you would like to encrypt. Click the Select button and then navigate through the open file dialog and select the files & folders you would like to encrypt, then click OK, the files & folders which be selected will appear in the following list. Press Next to proceed next step after you validate it.
Step2-1..Would you like to create self-decrypt file? Select whether or not to create the self-decrypt file, the self-decypt file can be decrypted in other computer without the SecuKEEPER, but must input the correct password. It is No by default, if you select yes, only create one self-decrypt file after the encrypt process has succeeded, no other encrypt file.
Step2-2..Select where you would like to save your encrypted file. Click the Select button and then navigate through the directory dialog and select where you would like to save your encrypted file.
Step2-3..Would you like to use compression? Turning compressing on will dramatically reduce the size of your file, but might increase the overall processing time. It is No by default.
Step2-4..Would you like to delete the original files & folders after encrypt? Select whether or not to delete the original files after the encryption process has succeeded, It is NO by default. PressNext to proceed next step after you validate it.
Step3..Select your preferred encryption algorithm. We offer two kinds of encryption algorithm which the user can free choose, include: AES and Blowfish, both are very strong encryption algorithms, any one of the two will be more than adequate enough to secure your data. Press Next to proceed next step after you validate it.
Step4-1..Enter and confirm your password. We do strongly recommend that you click PG button to automatically generate a strong password.
Step4-2..Would you like to store password in Password Manager? This feature allows people who have forgotten their password to use Password Manager find out the forgotten Password. This option, which is Yes by default, can be disable if you feel it would be even safer for you. It is useful to keep Yes, as it is the only way you can get your files back if you have forgotten your password, so we do strongly recommend that you choose Yes unless you have a very good memory! Press Next to proceed next step after you validate it.
